Oh, how I enjoyed creating this vintage-styled journal with all these shades of purple ...and I poured my heart into her!
"Sweet Violets" is 9" x 6", has 3 signatures sewn into the cover using a 5-hole pamphlet stitch. The spine is 2" wide and she has well over 100+ pages including several booklets.

I created the cover using 110# cardstock. I then added a piece of muslin to cover the entire face of that cover. I glued and stitched fabric, lace, various trims, appliques, ribbon, beads, and sequins to the muslin and reinforced the cover with Tyvek for added strength. I stitched around the entire outside edge of the cover. After that, I glued another piece of muslin to the backside and stitched around the entire journal again. Last, I covered the entire inside of the cover with printed 110# cardstock. This is another cover that came out looking like a beautiful garden patchwork full of color, texture, and sparkle. She is not only covered with lots of lace but you will find even more lace, ribbon, trim, etc. inside as well.
Papers you'll find in this journal: parchment (Southworth), tea-dyed copy paper, vellum, 26# photo, doilies, photo matte paper, 110# white cardstock, and 60# Neena Exact Vellum Bristol cardstock in Ivory.
I created the tassel using an assortment of ribbon and lace, with beads and charms as well. it is attached to a clip so it is easily removable as needed. I hand-dyed the seam binding for the closure ties and for the tassel.
This journal was created in a smoke-free home and is FOR SALE in the U.S. only, please. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
