"Cozette" - A Vintage-style Journal
If you would like to see a video of this journal, please click HERE.
She is 8 1/2" x 6" with a 2 1/2" spine. The cover is made from chipboard that I covered with padding and to which I added beautiful floral decorator fabric. The front has a fabric-covered library card-style pocket that holds a tag. Lace is glued in place along all four sides of the pocket.
You'll find 4 signatures sewn into the padded fabric cover using a 3-hole pamphlet stitch. I left the stitching exposed on the outside of the cover so that the beautiful decorator fabric could be seen and appreciated. The cover is reinforced with an appropriate portion of a Tyvek envelope for added strength. This journal has 146++ pages including the inside of the front and back covers and 3 booklets (of varying size) filled with tea-dyed papers.
The colors in the journal kits I used are pinks, buttery yellow, gold, cream, and white (I don't think that came through very clearly on the video). I used lots of gorgeous lace on the cover and throughout the journal, including lace on the edges of the first and last signatures pages and 3 lace pockets.
I tea-dyed most of the pages included in this journal but you will find that I don't dye my digital pages. I love the rich color produced by the paper I use to print them on! List of papers and cardstock used: Red River 28# photo matte, copy paper, grid paper, parchment paper, white 110# cardstock, Neena Exact Vellum Bristol 67# white cardstock, and Mulberry paper.
You will find that I have filled this journal with lots of pockets, tags, journal cards, and ephemera. She is quite chunky when her tie is loosened. She also has 3 bronze charms on bulb pins.
This journal is FOR SALE in the U.S. ONLY, please. Thank you! :)
