Oh, what joy it is to work with all this lace and trim to create this one-of-a-kind journal! :) The inspiration for this journal was the beautiful kit with all its peach, pink, and cream roses. I so love roses! (The kit is Cottage Lane Volume 2 from NectarsCreations on Etsy.) It took me a lot longer to create because I added so many handmade items, as you'll see if you watch the video.

The journal measures 9" x 6" and has a 2" spine. There are 3 signatures sewn into the cover using a 3-hole pamphlet stitch. I sewed multiple layers of fabric and lace onto one side of a heavy-duty file folder cut to size. The other side has Tyvek for reinforcement and 110# printed cardstock. Cotton lace has been added to many of the pages, pockets, and tucks. I've used ribbon and fibers and lace to embellish the tags.
I used vintage lace doilies, lace, and fabric in several places within the journal itself. I printed on a medium weight cotton fabric to add elements to the cover and inside the journal. I created cards that feature some embroidery that I did on cotton fabric. Included are 5 charms and on bulb (or garment) pins.
It has 120+ pages with lots of room for journaling. Most of the pages, including the pages printed with this digital kit, were tea-dyed. In addition, I used Vellum, parchment paper, and Neena 67# cardstock. You'll find several envelopes (most made of printed vellum), tags, journal cards, ephemera, tuck spots, and pockets. She has a lot of room for journaling! She is chunky but has lots of room for MORE should you chose to add more! ;)
This Journal will be a keepsake for many years to come to whoever purchases her.
